How we choose what to cover, where every fact comes from, and what happens when we get one wrong.

Every fact comes from the vendor’s own page

Prices, plan limits, features and free-plan details are read by a person on the company’s own website: its pricing page, help centre or official documentation. Each fact on our pages links to that source and shows the date we checked it.

We do not copy review sites or blog round-ups, and we do not use scraped data. If the vendor’s page does not say something, we show “Not verified” rather than guess.

How tools get on the site

A tool starts as a candidate. It appears on the site, in rankings and in comparisons only after its facts have been checked by hand. Tools are compared only with others that do the same job, so a score always means the same thing within a category.

How rankings work, and what money cannot change

Every tool in a category is scored by the same fixed rules (how we score). The scoring code cannot see which links earn us a commission. Vendors cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher or to change what we write. How we make money

Keeping facts fresh

Prices change often. A fact older than 60 days is due for a re-check. One older than 90 days fails our build, so the site cannot go live with it until it has been checked again. Older facts also earn fewer points in a tool’s score.

How we use AI

Some text, such as short summaries and first drafts of guides, is drafted with an AI model working only from our checked facts. A person reads and approves every piece before it is published. Prices, limits and scores always come from our data, never from the model.

Corrections

Found a price or a fact that is wrong or out of date? Email [email protected] with the page and what changed. We check the report against the vendor’s page, update the fact and its date, and the score updates with it.
